Who are you?
I am an artist based near Chesterfield, England. I am a full-time dad, but spend my free time in a number of artistic pursuits including painting and wood carving.
What is your background and training?
I am a self-taught artist. I have a PhD in Computational Neuroscience and a background in computing. I have been painting for many years and have recently taken up wood carving.
Can I buy one of your paintings or carvings?
All of my paintings are for sale unless indicated otherwise by a red dot: If you would like to enquire about one of my paintings, check on its availability, confirm price, arrange a viewing, or buy it straight away, let me know through the contact page.
Some of my work is also available through the Saatchi Art website.
Why don't you sign your paintings on the front?
I sign all my paintings on the back. I do not like to sign them on the front as I feel it spoils the image. It seems an odd thing to do to deface one's artwork by writing on it - it is just a habit of artists that we have come to expect.
Can I arrange to see your work first hand?
If you would like to arrange to come and view some of my work, please let me know through the contact page. Depending on how far away you are, you might want to visit me at my studio, or it may be possible for me to bring a selection of work to you. Alternately, I can also send high definition photos of any work you are particularly interested in.
